Not so Lovable

Lovable.dev, a European AI building tool startup, shut down for ~8 hours last week due to an infrastructure issue. Surprisingly, the problem wasn’t on Lovable’s end — it originated with GitHub.

Lovable uses GitHub to handle all of the code repositories for its users, and GitHub suddenly stopped allowing the creation of new repositories.

Lovable said that they had previously checked with GitHub to make sure the rate of new repository creation was okay (every 2 seconds!), and GitHub claimed it would be fine. While the GitHub staff was off over the holidays, Lovable became rate-limited then ultimately shut down for violating GitHub's terms of service.

This incident serves as a cautionary tale for startups relying heavily on third-party platforms. For a detailed breakdown, check out Nate Jones on TikTok (@nate.b.jones).

The robots are coming

If 2024 was the year of AI systems and compute buildout, 2025 is the year of autonomous hardware. When a new breakthrough is coming in technology, it takes a long time to build up and then all of a sudden it happens faster than you could have ever imagined.

If you start to think about all of the use cases it is mind-boggling...massive agriculture improvements, mobile security systems, infrastructure observability, & much more.

Robot kick
UniTree is one such company who is currently offering humanoid robots for sale at a $16,000 price point. Would you pay $16k to never do any home chores again?

How to be more creative

I hear people say that they aren't creative all the time. No one is born creative. Creativity is learning and doing and developing taste. Just get started!

The Yin & Yang of Creativity

Tech Byte - Business visualization

I recently discovered a new AI tool - Napkin.ai

This tool allows you to quickly turn text into visuals for presentations and videos. It is super fast, work pretty well, and is currently free to use! I highly recommend giving it a try.
